Operator and agreement
CustomFrames is operated by Anbumani Mailathipathy, operating as CreativeStudio14.com, India (“we”, “us”, or “our”). These terms apply to the CustomFrames app, website and connected frame services. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms to the extent an agreement may validly be formed under applicable law.
Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled. Optional promotional-email consent is separate from acceptance of these terms and is not required to use the service.
Age and accounts
You must be at least 13 years old and meet any higher minimum account age required by your local law. If you are under 18, you must have your parent’s or legal guardian’s permission. Any additional consent or restrictions required by applicable law also apply.
Registration uses an attestation of eligibility and required guardian permission, not verified age or verified guardian identity. This attestation alone does not establish compliance with local requirements. A parent or guardian should supervise a minor’s use as appropriate.
Provide accurate account information, protect sign-in credentials and paired devices, and promptly report suspected unauthorized access. Use household roles responsibly and invite only people who should have access. You are responsible for your own use, subject to applicable law; you are not automatically responsible for another person’s independent actions.
Your content and sharing
You retain ownership of the photos and other content you provide. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive permission to store, process, copy, sync and display that content only as needed to operate the service according to your instructions, including crop or display edits and sharing with the people and devices you choose. This permission does not transfer ownership or authorize sale of your content.
You must have the rights and permissions required to upload and share content, including photos of other people, children’s information and calendar data. Respect privacy, intellectual property and any restrictions attached to a connected source. Do not assume that a family relationship alone gives you permission to share someone’s information.
Invited household members can access or manage content according to their roles. Guest links can be forwarded, and submission approvals are optional. Check these settings before sharing. Recipients may save copies; CustomFrames cannot control copies outside the service.
The limited permission ends when content is removed, except as needed for directed sharing that remains in another workspace, backup retention, security or applicable legal obligations, as described in the Privacy Policy. The CustomFrames name, logo and service software remain the property of their respective owners; these terms do not grant unrelated rights to them.
Acceptable use
Use CustomFrames lawfully and with respect for others. Do not:
- Upload unlawful, exploitative, abusive or infringing content, or content that violates another person’s privacy or required consent.
- Harass people, impersonate others, send unsolicited submissions, or misuse household invitations and guest links.
- Access accounts, calendars or devices without authority, bypass access controls, distribute malware, or interfere with the service.
- Use the service to collect others’ information without permission or to evade legitimate usage limits.
We may restrict access or remove content reasonably necessary to address violations, security risks or legal requirements. Where appropriate and legally permitted, we will explain the action and provide a way to contact support for review.
Connections and AI
Google or Apple sign-in and Google, Microsoft, CalDAV or iCal calendar connections are optional and may depend on provider availability, permissions and terms. Connect only sources you are authorized to use. You can disconnect sources in the app and revoke access with the provider. Provider changes can affect features.
CustomFrames’ use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including Limited Use. That information is used for requested features, not advertising targeting or sale.
Optional manual AI features require explicit per-use permission after disclosure of the configured third-party AI provider host and data categories. AI imports and meal planning may send selected input and family context, such as family profile names, timezone, list names, favorite recipes or ingredients, and recent meal titles; scope varies by feature. Announcement drafting sends typed details and the selected language.
Automatic AI reading of approved inbound emails requires a separate workspace opt-in and is disabled by default. If enabled, approved email content and the contextual information disclosed for the feature may be sent to the configured AI provider automatically, without a separate prompt for each email. You must have authority to share this information; disable the option to stop future automatic AI requests. Submission approval alone does not authorize AI automation.
Review the provider’s terms and privacy policy and each disclosure before agreeing. Do not submit or authorize sharing of information you lack authority to share. AI output can contain errors, bias or unsuitable suggestions. Review output before use; you remain responsible for decisions you make based on it, subject to applicable law.
Availability and safety
CustomFrames is a family organization and display service, not an emergency, medical or safety-critical system. Do not rely on it as the only means of receiving urgent reminders, care instructions or other critical information. Chores and rewards are household tools, not professional advice.
Features depend on compatible devices, internet connectivity, permissions and sometimes third-party services. Offline devices may not receive changes, erasure instructions or notifications until they reconnect. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation or delivery at a particular time.
We may maintain or change the service and feature availability. We will provide notice and preserve any remedies required by law or an applicable purchase agreement. Keep your own original photos and important records rather than treating CustomFrames as your only backup.
Plans and payments
Free and paid plans, storage limits and features may vary by availability. Creating an account, opting into email or viewing a plan does not automatically authorize a paid charge.
If a paid offering is available, the price, billing period, renewal terms, taxes and payment conditions must be presented at purchase. Charges and recurring billing require the authorization applicable to that purchase; these terms alone do not authorize them.
Cancellation, refunds and any continuing access depend on the purchase terms, payment channel and applicable law. Store purchases may need to be managed through that store. No wording here removes mandatory consumer rights. Contact support for help understanding a charge or cancellation.
Ending use and erasure
You may stop using the service, disconnect sources or erase your account. Account erasure is not necessarily cancellation of a separately managed store subscription; if you have one, also follow its cancellation process.
Erasure removes your own workspace and media from the active service, unpairs frames when they reconnect, and clears local family, activity, media, intake, notification and cache data on the device performing erasure. Originals in your gallery, saved exports and copies on other devices or held by others are not erased. Contributions to another person’s workspace may remain without your name. Backup and legally required retention are described in the Privacy Policy.
Export any information you need first. The JSON metadata export is not a complete collection of original photos. We may suspend or end access for serious or repeated misuse, security needs or legal requirements, subject to applicable notice, review and consumer rights.
Responsibility and liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided as available, without additional promises of fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted operation or complete security. Any warranties, duties and remedies that cannot legally be excluded remain in place.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service, including losses caused by reliance on inaccurate AI output or unavailable notifications. This limitation does not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence, or death or personal injury.
Nothing in these terms limits non-waivable consumer, privacy or other statutory rights. Your responsibility for uploaded content and use of the service is also subject to applicable law.
Applicable law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, except where mandatory laws applicable to you require otherwise. This choice does not deprive you of mandatory protections or rights to seek remedies in a legally competent forum. These terms do not designate an exclusive court or city.
Please contact support about a dispute so we can try to resolve it. This does not prevent you from exercising legal rights or contacting a competent authority. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining terms continue only to the extent permitted by law.
Updates and contact
We may revise these terms as the service or legal requirements change. Revised terms will be published here with a new version date, and material changes will be notified where required. Where renewed agreement is required by law, we will request it; publishing an update is not a substitute.
